eSummary is a web-based software that is available to all clients that use ABI’s record retrieval service. Upon electronic delivery of the requested records, clients have access to review those records on the eSummary platform contained within their secure account on the ABI website. Once a client has entered the eSummary portal, they have the ability to review multiple locations, organize the records to their choosing, search and identify specific pages within multiple locations, create notes and ultimately generate summary reports based on the notes they have created with source documents attached. OCR search function along with document export is available to isolate specific terms or specific types of documents for further review. By using eSummary, clients of all backgrounds have an opportunity to review all types of record in a more efficient manner.

eSummary by ABI™ was created based on the demand from ABI’s clients to make more efficient use of their time in reviewing the records ABI provided them. Paired with a strong development team, ABI was able to take the feedback collected from clients and create a unique software that could fit any need during the record review process. ABI continues to take feedback from clients and enhance eSummary to satisfy an ever changing record review landscape.

Unlike many other summary products on the market, eSummary is completely client-driven. Instead of outsourcing the records to a third party for an unreliable record review product, eSummary gives the client the control and the tools to customize their review. With a user-friendly platform, eSummary gives clients the tools necessary for an efficient and comprehensive review without the time exhausting search through unnecessary documents.

The eSummary tool is comprised of two separate functions necessary in any record review process. With the browse option, clients are able to identify individual documents quickly based on location information, document classification and chronological sorting. With the chronological sorting and document classification of records occurring prior to receipt, the client is able to effortlessly navigate through the individual locations and identify only the necessary information.

With the ability to filter out documents based on the same criteria of location information, document classification and chronological sorting, clients are able to customize their review with a few clicks of mouse to make sure they are only reviewing documents pertinent to the task. With OCR search technology and a document export feature available, pinpointing vital information has never been easier.

Easily and Quickly Summarize Documents

The second primary function of the eSummary tool consists of creating notes during record review and then organizing those notes into a custom summary. During the review of documents, clients have the ability to create notes using one of three note creation tools. Once the note has been created, the client will have the date from the document transfer over to the note as well as the document classification.

Along with being able to enter information into the text box, the client will also be able to assign a keyword to the note for easy reference.

This keyword is vital in the customization of the end summary product since this is an open field in which the client can assign any label to the note they wish. Once a review is complete and notes have been created, the client then has the ability to generate a summary report using grouping and filtering tools similar to those found within the browse function to organize a summary report. Generating a summary report with or without source documents attached is an option, as well as exporting the summary into an excel spreadsheet.
